THE FUTURE OF TV
by horacioduek - 06.10.2010 / News • Usability • Web
MetaMirror is a concept, a culmination of our involvement in the Digital Home space, designed in response to new television watching behaviors.
There is an ongoing debate as to whether media in the living room should be powered by the internet – using ever increasing speeds to feed rich HD content, or instead by the existing television infrastructure – already omnipresent in homes around the world. Yet, this debate focuses on technology, and in doing so neglects the most important aspect of the television experience, the viewer. In the past, choosing the “right” CMS was a matter of the client and project’s requirements, but now this is not completely valid since the paradigm of extensibility had driven the development of major CMS’ towards a model of core features that are extensible with extensions or plug-ins that fill virtually any requirement.
